Booking for October

Hi Folks,

Well the bookings for October are going well, but there is still room for more. October is kind of the unofficial Magic Month. Magicians traditionally celebrate Oct 31, as National Magic Day and the week prior as National Magic Week. Harry Houdini passed away on Oct 31, 1926, and this is why magicians commemorate that day.

My show this year is called "The FALL-O-WEEN Show". It's a very fun and laugh filled program ideal for prek-elementary school kids.  All the material in the show is presented in a lighthearted fashion. There are tricks with pumpkins, a casper-like ghost, Mr. Bones (who the kids LOVED last year) and much more. 45 minutes of fun for everyone!

Give me a call if you'd like to set this up for your school, neighborhood, or whatever kind of event!

ps-If you are looking for something for a somewhat older audience, you want my other performing character, Dean Carnegie. Just be sure to ask for details when you call.

Shorty Routine to Appear in KIDabra Journal

I decided to give the 'Shorty The World's Tallest Clown' routine to the readers of my column, ALL THINGS MAGICAL in the KIDabra Journal. I have held back the manufacturing rights as I may produce these in the future. I will say it's been a very fun routine to do this summer and is ideal for younger kids.

Basically, the picture grows in size. I don't know if there has been anything like this for young audiences before. The effect itself is not new, the method is based on a much older effect but the story is original and I believe my handling choice of subject matter also make this a unique routine for kid and family entertainers.

Summer Shows in Full Swing

Wow am I having a ball this year! There is a lot of new magic in the shows this year. I've also done something different with older material. I've been revamping older tricks and doing my best to turn them into something totally different. One example is from my Story Time Magic Show where I took an older effect where a picture of a clown disappears from within a group of other circus pictures and changed it so that the image of the clown stretches to twice his length rather than vanish. Then I wrote a story to go with it called 'Shorty the World's Tallest Clown'. Fun stuff.

A highlight of The Very Puzzling Magic Show is when I take a small square of paper with a dot on each side and continue to turn the square over and show that it has more and more dots on it. Eventually the square of paper is tossed into the air where it visually turns into a 3-dimensional dice!

There are many other surprises in the shows and I'm now sending out my FIRST Fall 2011 mailing. I'm planning on scheduling Fall before the Summer is finished.
